Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
What are you looking for? A new car? A new house? A new husband or wife? God forbid. I will tell you what I am looking for. I am looking for a city who’s builder and maker is God. A city not made with human hands. A mansion prepared for me. A place by his side. Today I have something that the world didn’t give and the world can’t take away. The presence and the power of God living within.
Paul had it right. Being a Jew doesn’t mean anything, being a gentile doesn’t mean anything. The only thing that matters now and forever is when you become a new creature. Old things pass away, and all things become new. Your old life and desires gone. The things you use to love, now you hate, the things you used to hate, now you love. What am I talking about?
I am talking about being born again of the water and of the spirit. The new birth experience. And the power of regeneration every day working and flowing in your life. You can have this experience too. However, God doesn’t want just part of you. He wants all of you. He will never leave you or forsake you, and he will go with you until time is no more, and until the day dawns its last final glimmer of light in your life.
The greatest thing God wants to save you from is not your situation and trouble in this life. The greatest thing he wants to save you from is not even a devils hell. The greatest thing he wants to save you from is you. When you surrender all, the captain comes on board your ship and begins to steer it in the right direction.
The only thing that matters is a new creature. You will never know true peace and happiness without becoming a new creature in Jesus. Why? Because happiness is and always will be a inside job. What you have living on the inside matters now and always. Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Don’t you want to be his? Knowing that if the music stop playing in your life today, you have eternal life with him. That if the final curtain starts to fall over your life story, you have a city who’s builder and maker is God himself? I know I do. Life as short as it is hard enough, but eternity without Jesus is to long for anyone to endure. Become a new creature. He loves you.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
