Did you know the government is tracking you by identifying your face through images taken from CCTV cameras in America? The FBI is spending a billion dollars to do just that. And they will use Lockheed Martin and IBM to do it. The goal according to them “is to reduce terrorist and criminal activities by improving and expanding biometric identification and criminal history information services through research, evaluation, and implementation of advanced technology.”
If you need a reason to watch the masses just pull out the terrorist card and the doors magically open up for the go ahead. If you need a war pull out the terrorist card. If you want at the front of the line scream terrorist and you might have the place to yourself. Is this America or Oceania? I can hardly tell anymore. Life in Oceania: “In general you could not assume that you were much safer in the country than in London. There were no telescreens, of course, but there was always the danger of concealed microphones by which your voice might be picked up and recognized.”
Did you know your every word is being listened to by Big Brother through surveillance-capable street lights going up in major cities across the country? They can record your private conversations right down the very whisper. The citizens of Oceania were always unsure of their privacy, and the Deputy Homeland Security chief is on the record saying, Americans “would never know” whether or not the government was listening.
In Oceania: “In the far distance a helicopter skimmed down between the roofs, hovered for an instant like a bluebottle, and darted away again with a curving flight. It was the police patrol, snooping into people’s windows.”
Now we have video of black helicopters doing just that in major cities but they are called drills, so don’t worry. Of course they can go the much less expensive way today its called unmanned drones, what a wonderful way to spy on people without them even knowing about it.
Oceania: “It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself – anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face (to look incredulous when a victory was announced, for example) was itself a punishable offense. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: facecrime, it was called.”
Ever heard of behaviometrics? Let’s just call it the omnipresent surveillance technology from hell. Yeah it was developed by the US military and its destiny is to be handed down to police departments to “monitor suspicious behavior”. Basically its a camera that tracks facial movements biometrically. From there they build a psychological profile of the person under surveillance through “behavior analysis,” and if you look or act suspicious you may be engaging in the act of a thought crime.
Doesn’t a world where everyone is watched and monitored sound fun kiddies?Arresting people for thoughts is so far over the top everyone would have to go to jail. Although I believe a person should keep a close watch on their heart and the thoughts they think, I know its not the governments job to watch my heart and tell me if I committed a thought crime. That’s between me and God, not me and government. Right?
Gerard Kunkel, one of Comcast‘s senior VP of user experience, said the cable company is tinkering with different camera technologies made so it can know who’s in your living room. Remember Robbins v Lower Merion School District (PA)? Those laptops were issued to high-school students in the Philly suburb. The webcams were covertly activated by the schools’ administrators to spy on students and even their families right here in the good old USA, not Russia or China. The issue came to light when the Robbins’s child was disciplined for “improper behavior in his home” and the Vice Principal used a photo taken by the webcam as evidence. The suit is a class action, brought on behalf of all students issued with these machines at the school.
Food for thought. In the New York subway system alone, there are 3700 security cameras online, and 507 of those are live feeds to the NYPD. We have created a monster of gigantic proportions that’s watching and listing to us everyone, and that monster is getting bigger by the day, until one day it may just take on a life of its own without a human hand to guide it. Does this sound like a world you want for your kids?

Humanity is acquiring all the right technology for all the wrong reasons. Technology will be used to enslave most of the people in world we live in.
We are in the middle of an information gathering revolution of the likes of which has never been seen before. Already the government has the capability to look into our private telephone, cell phone and internet conversations. They can track everywhere we go online. Our bank accounts are open to anyone who wants to see them and police routinely use infrared to see into our homes.
There’s more but isn’t this enough to make you wonder where it will end? When is enough too much? How far will we let others invade our privacy in the name of security? What do we need protection from? I say its those who would control our lives. Who already has the most control over us? Is it not our own government? The Taliban does not want to scan your eyeballs at football games.
If you are dumb enough to believe you are just an animal you will be treated like one.

They are watching your every move with super AI computers. They already have a computer-vision system that can watch a hospital room and remind doctors and nurses to wash their hands, or send a warning message to restless patients who are in danger of falling out of bed. And thanks to MIT they even have computer-equipped mirrors to read a man’s face to detect his heart rate and all other vital signs in the human body. They read our expressions as we watch movies or shop online. And they can drop this technology in anywhere anytime to any venue you can imagine.
